Together with the hopes of a speedy recovery from the damage caused by Typhoon No. 19, an event to vivify Zenkoji temple in Nagano City with lights and sounds began on Saturday, with the inner sanctuary of the main hall being illuminated for the first time.
Visitors can enjoy a wondrous atmosphere, with the shapes of peacocks and lotus flowers floating along the walls of the inner sanctuary of the main hall. "That is beautiful," some visitors exclaimed in awe. There is also a concert held featuring a piano that has been restored after being damaged by the typhoon, and the melody resonated clearly around the Sanmon temple gate. The concert is scheduled to start at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The event will run until March 1, and Zenkoji temple will be decorated from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
