Zenit vs Chelsea prediction and odds: Callum Hudson-Odoi tipped to score in Champions League clash

Thomas Tuchel will be looking to secure top spot in the Champions League group stage as they face Zenit St Petersburg in sub-zero temperatures.

Chelsea are the favourites at 13/25 with Grosvenor Sport while Zenit are 11/2 and a draw is 10/3.

The Blues have already secured a place in the round of 16 thanks to a huge 4-0 win against Italian giants Juventus at Stamford Bridge in their last European match.

Tied on points with the Serie A club, Tuchel's side will be looking to go into the draw seeded as group winners.

However, they will need to improve from their performance at the weekend after losing the lead twice away at West Ham and crashing out 3-2 losers at the end of their Premier League clash.

Fortunately, they are playing a Zenit-side who are fighting for nothing but pride as they go in knowing they are guaranteed a place in the Europa League play-off round.

Team stats

Chelsea have kept four clean sheets in the Champions League - more than any other side including Barcelona, Real Madrid and group stage rivals Juventus who are all on three. Meanwhile, Zenit have failed to keep a single clean sheet in Europe this season.

The Blues have registered 89 attempts at goal in Europe's top tier club competition behind Inter (100), Bayern Munich (97), Real Madrid (95) and last year's finalist (94).

Games involving Zenit average 9.06 total corners while Chelsea average 11.33 but 10.5 away from home. Over 9.5 total corners is 10/11.

Player to watch

Callum Hudson-Odoi will be looking to respond quickly after his performance at the weekend.

The England winger did not impress from the bench against West Ham but despite his constant rotation, he does perform well in Europe.

He has three goal involvements in the four matches he has played in the group stage and will no doubt look to add to his goal against Juventus two weeks ago.
