Zenit St. Petersburg's Twitter DMs flooded by Manchester United fans asking the same question

Zenit St. Petersburg's English Twitter account opened up their direct messages and were bombarded with one question in particular from Manchester United fans.

Most clubs have their messages closed but the Russian Premier League side left theirs open in the hope of receiving some nice messages from their supporters.

However, instead of receiving words of support for the season ahead or other kind greetings, they were swamped with Manchester United fans who all were all asking the same question.

Many Twitter pages offer something in return for a user gaining a certain amount of retweets and United fans wanted to know how many Zenit would require for them to buy Phil Jones.

Zenit's Twitter admin wrote: "We leave our DMs open to be nice and all we get is messages asking how many retweets for Phil Jones."

The defender is out of favour at Old Trafford after slipping down the pecking order at Old Trafford and it seems a section of United supporters are keen for him to exit the club as soon as possible.

However, the former Blackburn Rovers man wasn't the only player to be mentioned as a few Arsenal fans also sent messages asking for the Russian side to lodge a bid for Shkodran Mustafi - who hasn't impressed since his move from Valencia.

Given the transfer window isn't closed for some European sides, there is still time for Zenit to take them up on their offer.
