Awards season officially came to a close last night with the 2021 Oscars.
Although things looked a little different this year with its change in venue, stripped-back guest list, and other coronavirus-related restrictions, it proved to be a glamorous affair.
Among the A-listers who dressed to impress, was Zendaya, who stunned in a bright yellow Valentino gown inspired by Cher, and a matching yellow face mask.
The actress, who presented the Oscar for Best Original Score, accessorised the jaw-dropping outfit with Bulgari diamonds which, according to Vogue, are valued at over $6 million, approximately £4.3 million.
On Instagram, Valentino revealed that the Haute Couture cut-out dress, named Force de beauté, was custom-made by its creative director, Pierpaolo Piccioli, and took 300 hours to produce.
Law Roach, the stylist behind Zendaya's look, took to Instagram to share a series of behind-the-scenes videos of the star.
The stylist then revealed that the dress was a homage to Cher, who wore a similar gown on her eponymous TV show in the mid-1970s.
Roach called Cher a "constant inspiration," before revealing that the Valentino dress also glows in the dark.
Her look went down well with fans on Twitter, as they flooded the star with compliments.
One said: "Zendaya giving us some Cher fashion goodness tonight."
Another wrote: "Zendaya is a literal goddess oh my god."
"THE BEST DRESSED SHOULD GO TO ZENDAYA," said a third.
Whilst someone else put: "Zendaya ALWAYS understands the assignment."
