Zendaya fans infuriated and demand 'redo' as Madame Tussauds unveil waxwork of actress

Zendaya has been recreated in wax for Madame Tussauds London but fans aren't impressed.

The 25-year-old Spiderman actress's statue was teased on the attraction's Instagram on Wednesday.

The caption read: "From cinema screens to tv screens, to buying a home in London, Zendaya is EVERYWHERE rn... and from Friday her figure will be at Madame Tussauds London too."

But fans were stumped by the wax work, with some saying that she "looked like a flight attendant".

"Zendaya is so beautiful and it's a damn shame her wax figure looks like she's had a long day at the office and she *does not* like the service she received when she went to pick up her take-out, and now she wants to speak to everyone's manager," one wrote.

Another said: "I think what most people are mad about with the Zendaya wax figure is the cheugy side part."

One Twitter user said: "The wax version of Zendaya looks like she wants to speak to the manager."

Another person said that the model looked like a mix of Kylie Jenner and Nicki Minaj with a crying-laughing emoji.

"Oh god...redo it that is NOT zendaya and out of ALL outfits"

But some defended Madame Tussauds, with one person adding: "That wax figure looks almost exactly like zendaya idk what y'all are talking about,"

"Why are people so pressed about the Zendaya wax figure, she's one of the most beautiful people ever they're not gonna be able to emulate that in a wax figure hahahah they did their best like", chipped in another.

The release ahead of Zendaya's statue reveal said: "Known for her roles in Hollywood blockbusters including Spider Man, Euphoria, Dune and The Greatest Showman, the American actor and singer is also considered a role model and fashion icon thanks to her statement looks, with her Madame Tussauds London figure being no different.

"Zendaya's new likeness has been sculpted by our talented artists using measurements taken during her 2015 sitting and will make a stylish addition to the star-studded guest list in our Awards Party zone," it continued.

The wax figure will be unveiled to the public in London on Friday, Feb. 11.

The actress and her Spider-man hero boyfriend Tom Holland have just bought a £3million home in Richmond, South west London.

The impressive property is just four miles from Kingston upon Thames where Tom was born and grew up.

Zendaya already owns an LA mansion and Tom already has a three-bedroom flat in London, but this will be a place for them both.

The couple flew from LA to pick up the keys and visited Tom's parents ahead of their summer move.

A source said: “They are over the moon about the property and getting their first home together.

“They are very much in love and wanted their first home to be in London where Tom grew up. Everyone is thrilled for them.”
