Zayn Malik has hinted he's proposed to his pregnant girlfriend Gigi Hadid by showing off a tattoo of a poem about love and marriage.
The former One Direction star, 27, is preparing to become a first time dad later this year as Gigi, 25, recently confirmed they are expecting a baby together.
Now, Zayn has showed off what looks like a new tattoo featuring a poem called On Marriage by Kahlil Gibran.
It reads: "Sing and dance together and be joyous but let each one of you be alone.
"Give your hearts, but not into each other's keeping. Stand together, yet not too near together; For the pillars of the temple stand apart.
"And the oak tree and the cypress grow not in each other's shadow."
The poem is a popular choice for readings at weddings.
The picture of Zayn's seemingly-new tattoo was shared by celebrity jeweller George Khalife, who had sent the couple some new bracelets.
Gigi recently confirmed the pregnancy news in a video chat with US talk show host Jimmy Fallon.
The host told the mum-to-be: "I've got to say... congratulations on expecting a baby!"
Thanking the presenter, Gigi replied: "We're very excited and happy and grateful for everyone's well wishes and support," she gushed.
She went on to add that she's grateful to be able to spend so much time with her boyfriend during the pregnancy while they are holed up together during lockdown.
Gigi added: "It's a nice silver lining to be able to be home and be together and really experience it day by day."
The couple first went public as a couple in December 2015, but their romance has been rocky over the last few years as they've split several times.
They spent most of 2019 apart, but the romance appeared to be back on in December.
They confirmed the news in February when Gigi shared a picture of the couple cuddling on Instagram.
