Zayn Malik has sent fans into meltdown over his latest collaboration with self-titled queen of rap Nicki Minaj.
The former One Direction superstar just unexpectedly dropped his latest single, No Candle No Light.
Flocking to social media, fans were quick to hail the track “iconic”.
One user wrote: “This song is so amazing! How could they do this to us?”
Another commented: “This is soooo fresh on the ear. What an arrangement! Can't stop listening.”
A third added: “THIS IS ICONIC.”
Meanwhile, others couldn’t contain their pride over the release.
One user posted: “I'm so proud of you. Your creativity is all over the place rn! Keep smashing it you legend.” [sic]
Whilst another added: “SNATCHING OUR WIGS AGAIN PHEW.”
The release comes after Malik shut down any hope of him joining a reunion with his former bandmates.
The 25-year-old singer devastated fans after he revealed no longer speaks to Niall Horan, Liam Payne, Harry Styles or Louis Tomlinson, accusing them of being “snide” after he left the group in 2015.
Opening up on the fallout, he told British Vogue: “I ain't spoke to any of them for a long time, to be honest with you. That's just the way it is.
“There's things that happen and things that were said after I left. Snide things. Small things that I would never have expected.”
