Zara Tindall 'mopped up blood after husband Mike broke up Euro 2020 final fight'

Sports mad royal Zara Tindall and husband Mike were caught up in a rammer during England's Euro 2020 final defeat at Wembley, it has been reported.

The Queen's granddaughter and former rugby ace Mike were watching the Three Lions when trouble flared.

According to one source, burly Mike had to step in when two men ended up scrapping nearby.

And Gloucestershire Live reports how Olympic equestrian Zara was reportedly left 'mopping blood' off seats after the fight.

“Tensions had got a bit heated near to where Zara and Mike were sitting because it had got quite crowded," a source told The Sun newspaper.

“Two fans ended up in a punch-up and Mike had to step into save the day.

"“He stood between them and pulled them apart before stewards could get them under control.

“Unfortunately some blood ended up near Zara and she had to use a tissue to mop it up.

“It was absolute mayhem. Wembley were very lucky Mike was able to take control of the chaos.”

It's not known where they were sitting but trouble flared after a group of fans without tickets stormed the stadium ahead of the final which England lost after a penalty shoot out.

There were about 60,000 fans at Wembley as well as the dignitaries and VIPs such as Tom Cruise, London Mayor Sadiq Khan, Prime Minister Boris Johnson, and also Italian President, Sergio Mattarella.

Zara's cousin Prince William was also there with wife Kate and their seven-year-old son Prince George.

The Metropolitan Police said there had been 45 arrests by officers policing the Euro 2020 final.

"We have made 45 arrests while policing today's Euro 2020 final," a statement said.
