Zara Tindall falls off horse as husband Mike and daughters Mia and Lena look on

Zara Tindall took a tumble from her horse during a five-star equestrian event as daughter Mia put on an acrobatic show.

The Queen's granddaughter was competing in the Burghley Horse Trials on her horse Class Affair in Stamford, Lincolnshire, as her husband Mike Tindall and their two daughters watched.

The 38-year-old avid rider fell off her 10-year-old horse during a showjumping event.

Zara last took part in the horse trails two years ago.

Back then she was forced to withdraw from the event after falling from her horse High Kingdom.

This time her family was accompanied by Zara's mother Princess Anne and her second husband, Tim Lawrence.

During the day, Zara's five-year-old daughter Mia was seen performing a stunt with her father.

Pictures emerged showing Mia, who dresses in a denim dungaree, putting on an acrobatic display as she stands balanced on her dad's hands.

As Mike lays on the ground, little Mia tries to perform a mid-air plank on her dad's knees.

Later, Princess Anne's husband Tim is also seen helping Mia with her headstands.

Riders participating the Burghley Horse Trials are competing for the £95,000 top prize as they are tested for their all-round ability of the horse and rider, comprising of dressage, cross-country and showjumping.

Mum-of-two Zara, who is currently 11th in the leader board, has won a silver medal at the 2012 Olympics as part of the Great Britain Eventing Team.

She has also previously been named BBC Sports Personality of the Year and has been nicknamed the Royal Olympian.
