Zara McDermott couldn’t hold back the giggles when she was quizzed on her supposed romance with Olly Murs.
The Love Island star, who split from Adam Collard earlier this year, struggled to keep a straight face when questioned about a potential relationship between the pair.
Appearing on Victoria Derbyshire’s Instagram story, McDermott was asked: “Are you dating Olly Murs?”
A red-faced McDermott then threw her hand over her face before erupting into laughter.
One of her friends off-screen then shouted: “Did he slide into your DMs?”
To which the star yelled back: “No comment, no comment!”
Attempting to dig further Derbyshire speculated: “From your reaction and the very fact that you said no comment I think that’s confirmation..”
Embarrassed McDermott attempted to clarify: “No confirmation, no confirmation!”
Pushing further Derbyshire added: “Would it be nice if you were?”
Refusing to give anything away McDermott simply added: “Oh he’s a lovely guy.”
Joking with friends she added that Murs thinks she has “the X Factor” before she went bright red for a second time as she was teased with a rendition of Murs’ hit Wrapped Up.
The video comes after reports surfaced that the pair struck up a romance after meeting on a night out in Essex last month.
A source told the Sun: “Olly is smitten with Zara and it’s not hard to see why. He tried to make out they’re just mates but there’s real chemistry between them. Now their romance is blossoming into a relationship.”
McDermott has told how she has cut ties from Collard, explaining that there is “no need” to remain friends but insisted there is “no drama” between them.
Last week she told OK!: “We aren’t really on speaking terms, but I’m sure if I saw him at an event or anything I’d say hello, no drama.
“We had an amazing experience together but there’s not really a need for a friendship between us now.”
