Zara Larsson's life 'is not as glamorous as people might think'

Zara Larsson has discussed her career

Zara Larsson's life isn't as glamorous "as people might think".

The 28-year-old pop star is currently riding a wave of success, but Zara insists she's worked very hard for her fame and fortune.

The blonde beauty - who released her latest album, Midnight Sun, last year - told Vogue Singapore: "Sometimes I forget that to go hard you have to rest hard.

"It’s not as glamorous as people might think. When everyone goes to sleep, my second ‘workday’ starts where I’m listening and commenting on production for the remix album, going through notes for creative decks, looking at merch, basically anything creative that I can do from my computer. When the clock hits 6am, I try to go to sleep.

"On the US tour, I think I had two days off so most days sort of blended into each other, like I was in a strange magical bubble."

Zara is currently on tour in Europe, and she still loves the experience of performing live for her fans.

The Crush hitmaker also revealed that she feels "grateful" for all of her success.

She said: "Performing live is my biggest passion, so it’s been quite emotional and very rewarding.

"You can look at numbers online, but when a room gets bigger because more people want to come and dance and sing with you, that’s something different. It feels like people are not just listening, they’re rooting for me. I feel very grateful."

Meanwhile, Zara previously admitted to being "in awe" of Tate McRae.

The pop star opened for Tate, 22, on the Miss Possessive Tour in 2025, and Zara admitted to being a huge fan of the Greedy hitmaker.

Speaking to People about the chart-topping singer, Zara shared: "She's so sweet. Beautiful.

"I just can't believe she's 21 because she seems so mature, like she's been doing this for a really long time, kind of like I have. Maybe that's what people thought about me when I was 21. Now, I'm old.

"I'm so in awe of her work ethic and how hard she goes at it. She has not stopped for years. But I think she loves what she's doing, and she's so passionate."
