Georgia Bulldogs RB Zamir White has yet to take the field in Athens, but there’s a building hype surrounding him. White was a five-star recruit in 2018 and the top back in his class. He put up insane numbers at Scotland County in North Carolina’s highest prep football level.
White may be the next great Georgia RB. First he has to get healthy. As a freshman, White tore his ACL in summer camp last August. This occurred after he tore his other ACL during the later part of his senior season in high school.
White has been working out with fellow RB James Cook. Here’s the rehab video White posted to his Instagram:
Everyone is rooting for White to make a return. He’ll be a potential x-factor for the offense. Expect Kirby Smart and the offensive staff to have a plan to preserve White. With D’Andre Swift taking the lead role at RB, White won’t start with a massive workload. Brian Herrien and James Cook will prove stiff competition for carries as well. The battle for carries is one of the most interesting stories to follow in 2019.
