Zak Rudden nears permanent Rangers exit as Partick Thistle transfer details revealed

Partick Thistle are aiming to complete the signing of Rangers forward Zak Rudden in the coming days.

The Ibrox teenager spent the first half of the season out on loan at Plymouth but the signing of Ryan Hardie meant the Pilgrims allowed him to return to Glasgow.

And now he's on the move again but this time on a permanent basis with Ian McCall swooping in to take him to Firhill.

The 19-year-old excelled in the Championship with Falkirk last season despite the Bairns getting relegated and McCall hopes he can have a similar impact in front of goal with Partick Thistle.

Rangers will get a small fee for him with a sell-on clause also included should Rudden earn a move in the future.

And McCall told BBC Scotland: “It’s still subject to clearance. It’s a nominal fee with a sell-on fee for Rangers.

“We’ve been speaking to Ross Wilson and hopefully we’ll have it done by Monday.

“He’ll bring goals, aggression, running power…he’s 19, nearly 20, and there’s a lot of improvement in him.”
