The Philadelphia Eagles traded Zach Ertz to the Arizona Cardinals on Friday, and the scenario now explains why Ertz was so emotional after Thursday night’s game.
Eagles general manager Howie Roseman confirmed that Ertz was aware of the pending transaction and risked injury to play with his teammates and in front of Philadelphia fans at Lincoln Financial Field one last time.
Ertz will meet with the Philadelphia media before departing to join his new team.
