Zach Ertz moves into 2nd place behind Harold Carmichael for most receptions in Eagles history

Zach Ertz will go down as one of the best tight ends in NFL and the Eagles star just made another dent in the franchise’s record books. With a first down catch against the Lions late in the second quarter of Sunday’s action, Ertz moved past Pete Retzlaff for second-most reception in Eagles history.

Zach Ertz passes Pete Retzlaff for second-most reception in Eagles history. Only player ahead of him now is Harold Carmichael. Ertz is 136 receptions behind Carmichael. Should pass him next season.

According to Pro Football Reference, Ertz started the day two behind Retzlaff with 450 career receptions.

He now trails on Eagles legend, Harold Carmichael, who is the teams’ all-time leader in catches with 589. Ertz should secure the all-time record sometime next seasons.
