Zach Brown on the Eagles locker room dynamics: There are no cliques

The Philadelphia Eagles are a tightly knitted group, and that brotherhood and camaraderie have left an impression on the teams newest free agent linebacker.  Zach Brown came to the Eagles from Washington, partly because of finances and mostly because he wanted to play for a winner.

Brown was so enthralled with the process in Philadelphia, that he told his agent to stop taking calls from other organizations once the Eagles showed some serious interest. For Brown, it was about winning, while accomplishing the goal with like-minded people.

On Monday, Brown spoke about the differences in Philadelphia from Washington, and the description of Eagles locker room was night and day from what he just experienced in the nation’s capital. For Brown, the biggest surprise about his new Eagles teammates seems to be the lack of “cliques” or position groups only bonding with themselves

Nobody has a problem with anybody,” said Brown. “Everybody is cool.

“This locker room is different from the locker room I came from. There are no cliques. It’s one big clique. I can talk over there and mess with the linemen, talk with them, chit chat, play cornhole. The running backs are right here, so I always give them s***.”

It was the first time Brown addressed reporters since signing with the Eagles and the first time he practiced, taking first- and second-team reps at outside linebacker.
