The decision on Vontaze Burfict will have to wait.
While Burfict is still under contract with the Cincinnati Bengals, he figures to be one of the more important decisions facing Zac Taylor right out of the gates.
At the scouting combine, Taylor made it clear this is still up in the air:
Makes sense, as the Bengals still haven’t officially completed their coaching staff on the defensive side of the ball.
But in time, the Bengals wouldn’t surprise many by cutting Burfict, who was a liability on the field last year and continues to have problems even getting on it.
Given the wholesale changes and linebacker being the weakest point on the roster, the eventual makeover could start with Burfict.
