It was always going to be interesting to see how new Cincinnati Bengals head coach Zac Taylor connected with franchise legends such as Chad Johnson.
Johnson took this upon himself before training camp started, posting the following tweet: “I want to meet Zac Taylor & greet him with a hug & whisper ‘I’m still open’ in his ear to break the ice in our friendship.”
The man formerly known as OchoCinco has joked in the past about joining the Bengals for a reunion tour, of course.
But in the social media era, it wasn’t long before Taylor himself heard about Johnson’s request:
It’s a great move by Taylor for a variety of reasons. And if it means more past Bengals greats like Johnson hanging around the team, that can only be a good thing.
Rest assured we’ll be seeing Chad around the team soon, based on how quickly this moved.
