Zac Taylor doesn’t seem happy about Bud Dupree’s shove of Joe Burrow

Cincinnati Bengals head coach Zac Taylor isn’t too happy about a late shove out of bounds on Joe Burrow from Pittsburgh Steelers defender Bud Dupree.

Burrow already had to address the late shove that resulted in a hurt ankle, but his head coach took something of a different stance.

Speaking with Paul Dehner Jr. of The Athletic, Taylor said “I’ll be very careful with my opinions,” in reference to the shove and presumably the fact it wasn’t flagged.

He continued, per Dehner:

“If there was a camera on me for the next eight minutes, you would have seen my reaction going into halftime. That would have been very clear if someone had been filming that.”

Dupree’s shove appeared to send Burrow with some momentum into a bench, where he confirmed he rolled his ankle. It seemed like an easy call for officials to make, but the new Bengals quarterback certainly hasn’t been getting some of the calls officials might give seasoned veterans.

Taylor might want to avoid riling up a bitter rival and/or getting a fine from the league office, but it’s pretty clear the Bengals aren’t thrilled with the latest occurrence of seemingly questionable play from that rival and the lack of calls that will protect his quarterback.
