Zac Taylor confirms Bengals could still look at waiver wire to reshape roster

New Cincinnati Bengals head coach Zac Taylor isn’t dismissing any idea right now.

After the Bengals already ignored the compensatory process to add outside free agents they think can start right away if necessary, Taylor has said the team might not be done.

Via Bengals.com:

Even though the re-signing of cornerback Darqueze Dennard has filled up their salary cap allotment for free agents and looked to be the final player acquisition before the draft, Taylor said they could still be enticed by the waiver wire and that they’d keep their options open.

Conventional wisdom says the Bengals already spent their cap allotment on free agency and the market itself doesn’t have much else to offer.

But the waiver wire is a different story. In the coming weeks, players teams were unable to trade and guys replaced by draft picks could be getting cut.

At the least, Taylor is still doing and saying the right things, so keep the Bengals in mind when names start landing on the open market. Everything indeed appears to be on the table as Taylor reshapes the roster to match his vision.
