'Zac Efron is a Spurs fan' - Actor spotted at new Tottenham stadium and fans can't believe it

Tottenham ground out a priceless 1-0 win over Brighton & Hove Albion on Tuesday night.

A last-gasp Christian Eriksen strike from 25 yards finally broke the Seagulls' resistance on a difficult night at the new Tottenham stadium.

And the three points have given Spurs a huge boost in the race for a top four finish, with the result taking them three points clear of fourth-placed Chelsea, four clear of fifth-placed Arsenal and six clear of sixth-placed Manchester United.

Spurs and Chelsea have three games remaining, with Arsenal and United having four left, with their games in hand against Wolves and Manchester City respectively tomorrow.

Why was Hollywood star Zac Efron in the crowd watching Tottenham vs Brighton?

While it was a difficult night on the pitch, there was quite a stir being made off it.

The match was live on Sky Sports and during the first half the cameras found a famous face in the crowd that you might not have expected to see - Hollywood film star Zac Efron.

The star of films such as The Greatest Showman and 17 Again was in the Uk to promote his new film Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil And Vile, in which he plays the role of famed serial killer Ted Bundy.

Efron was once spotted in the crowd at the Emirates, wearing an Arsenal shirt, and after being caught on camera, Spurs officials acted quickly and when the camera found him again in the second half, the film star was sporting a commemorative Spurs shirt from the opening of the new stadium against Palace.

And that got football fans excited on social networking site Twitter.
