Yvette Fielding says she put magnets in her knickers for bizarre reason

Yvette Fielding said she's trying everything and anything to ease the symptoms of the menopause. And we mean everything.

Speaking on ITV's Lorraine on Friday, the Most Haunted presenter, 50, revealed she'd put magnets down her knickers.

Yvette said she'd done it to ease her crippling joint pain, as she argued that menopausal women aren't told all the hidden problems that come with the change.

She and Lorraine Kelly , 59, were discussing all the old wives tales about home remedies when she made the bizarre confession.

"Has she tried the magnets in the knickers?" Yvette asked the baffled TV presenter.

Lorraine grimaced, saying: "I have not tried magnets in the knickers... I don't know if I want to attract certain things."

"You clatter when you walk, Lorraine, let me tell you," Yvette said.

Lorraine couldn't control her giggles, asking: "Does it work?"

But Yvette admitted her kooky plan didn't pay off.

She said: "Can you imagine walking along when you're in the saucepan bit of the supermarket and everything starts moving?

"Coming towards your gusset."

"I've never tried magnets in my gusset, but did it work?" Lorraine said.

She responded: "No, I'd shy away from that."

The bizarre chat left viewers in stitches.

One tweeted: "@Yfielding Loved watching you this morning on @lorraine made me laugh with your magnets in your knickers."

"Magnets in the knickers - love it x," another said.

A third wrote: "Yvette you was fantastic on L orraine... You always make me laugh. Every time I see a magnet on my fridge freezer I will burst out laughing."
