Unmissable show?
I’m a massive fan of Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries, which is on Netflix. It’s set in the 1920s and is about a glamorous, sexy, gorgeous lady detective. It’s shot beautifully, the stories are great. I can’t wait to get into my bed with my jimmie jammies on so I can put it on.
Bring back…
Dad’s Army. I’ve watched every episode of the original series about five times in total. When we first heard they were remaking the movie, me and my husband went: “Oh no! They can’t remake that classic.” But then when we saw who was in it, we were like: “Ah, actually. That is good casting.” Catherine Zeta-Jones is in it! My claim to fame is that she did the washing-up at my house. Her and John Leslie were dating at the time and they came round for dinner. We got on really well. I dried up, she washed up, and we promptly had a sit down and a cigarette on the back step, where she told me how much she wanted to get married and have babies! If I remember correctly she was a very good washer of dishes. Very methodical. Very clean.
TV turn off?
Big Brother. I know I swear when I’m scared on Most Haunted, but some of these characters on Big Brother – they’re using the C-word in every other sentence. Is there really any need for that? While I’m on it, Geordie Shore and The Valleys. I think that a lot of the problems with binge drinking and promiscuity are to do with some of these shows. They actually showed a girl weeing in the shower! It’s too far. Bring back Mary Whitehouse!
Pitch us a TV show…
It stars myself, and Johnny Depp would be my sidekick. I love everything strange and weird and I think Johnny Depp does too. So I’d love for us to go in search of James Dean’s car. Apparently it’s haunted. And also a show where I play the young Miss Marple and Johnny Depp plays Mr Stringer. And me and Johnny Depp do a pawn show… just me and Johnny Depp, really. You get the picture.
Most Haunted airs Sunday, 10pm on Really
