Yvette Fielding has broken her silence on the death of Derek Acorah with a blunt statement following his shock passing on Friday.
The 51-year-old presenter starred on Most Haunted with Derek between 2002 and 2006 before the spiritual medium was booted off the show.
Following the announcement that Derek had died on Friday at the age of 69, Yvette released a statement via her agent.
“Our condolences are with Derek’s family at this time. Yvette and Karl,” the message stated - signed off by the star and her husband Karl Beattie, who was a co-creator of Most Haunted with Yvette.

Derek was fired from Most Haunted after being duped into channeling a fake personality called Kreed Kafer - an anagram for “Derek Faker” - during an episode.
Yvette explained why Derek was sacked from the hit show in 2006 following the scandal, saying: “We tell people everything is real, then it turns out he was a fake, so he had to go.”
Many other celebrities have taken to social media to express grief over the sudden death of the psychic - who died from sepsis and had fallen into a coma before passing away on Friday 3 January.

Celebrity Big Brother ’s Bit On The Side host Rylan Clark-Neal took to Twitter to express sadness.
“Sad news about Derek Achorah This morning. A very lovely man to speak to and a great housemate. RIP,” he wrote on Saturday.
And a number of Derek’s CBB co-stars also took to social media to express their shock and sadness - having feature don the since cancelled Five reality show with him in 2017.

While Myleene Klass paid tribute via Instagram Stories - sharing a snap of herself hugging the late TV star alongside a touching statement.
"A lot of people had their own ideas about Derek Acorah. Was he the real deal? DId ghosts speak to him? Regardless of all that, me and @rhoddersown saw first hand the peace he brought to many," she wrote.
"As for the laughs we had on the road, OMG, they were some of the funniest, most brilliant times in my life, EVER. RIP Derek. Say hi to Sam," she added.
