YS Vivekananda Reddy murder case: CBI summons Kadapa MP YS Avinash Reddy for questioning on May 22

TIRUPATI: The Central bureau of investigation (CBI) sleuths probing the sensational murder case of former Parliamentarian YS Vivekananda Reddy have summoned Kadapa MP YS Avinash Reddy for questioning on May 22.

The Kadapa MP skipped his earlier two appearances before the CBI on May 16 and 19, citing short notice and mother's illness as the reasons.

Though the Kadapa MP did leave for the CBI enquiry from his Hyderabad residence at around 10am on Friday, moments later he received a phone call from his relatives, about his mother being hospitalized at Pulivendula after she complained of heart problems and reportedly fell unconscious during her morning prayers on Friday.

After communicating to the CBI that he couldn't attend Friday's questioning as he had to urgently leave for Pulivendula to attend to his ailing mother, Avinash Reddy left for Pulivendula on Friday morning.

The Kadapa MP, who was on his way to Pulivendula, received information that his mother was being shifted out of Pulivendula for better medical attention.

Later he got her admitted to the Viswa Bharati super specialty hospital at Kurnool and remained with his mother at the hospital throughout Saturday.

While the doctors at the Kurnool hospital communicated to reporters that several medical tests were conducted and that there were fluctuations in YS Lakshmi's blood pressure levels and that they were trying to stabilize the same.

On the other hand, CBI sleuths sent the fresh summons to the Kadapa MP to appear before them at 11 am on May 22 for questioning. The copy of the summons were sent to the Kadapa MP on his WhatsApp too.
