Jojo Siwa has revealed that she’s currently in the midst of attempting to have a kissing scene removed from an upcoming movie as it shows her locking lips with a man.
The 18-year-old star recently came out as a member of the LGBTQ+ community, and is making it her mission to get the steamy scene cut from her stint in ‘Bounce’.
The YouTube sensation, who is currently dating Kylie Prew, is adamant that she doesn’t want the scene to be aired because she’s ‘madly in love’ with her girlfriend and doesn’t want to be seen getting intimate with a man.
In a recent interview with EW, the child star revealed: “I'm madly in love and I do not want to kiss another human."
"Especially because it's a man,” she added.
Jojo will be playing a role adapted from a young adult novel.
But the YouTube star is concerned that her young fan base won’t be able to differentiate between her real-life persona and her on-screen character in the Christmas themed flick.
Jojo explained: "That's what they look at me as, not some character, not some fictional thing. And so, it's going to be a little weird."
And although she’s sure her girlfriend won’t be bothered about the on-screen kiss, Jojo is having none of it.
"I'm not about it. I'm trying to get it pulled so bad. It'll happen. It'll get pulled,” she insisted.
Jojo made headlines when she came out in an incredible way back in January.
The star took to Twitter to share a photograph of herself in a printed T-shirt that says "Best. Gay. Cousin. Ever."
Wearing one of her iconic bejewelled JoJo Bows in her signature high ponytail, the singer and dancer captioned her picture: "My cousin got me a new shirt".
Her simple yet strong statement was a big hit with her fans.
The star, whose real name is Joelle Joanie Siwa, appeared on two series of Dance Moms with her mother Jessalynn and has starred in a string of shows on Nickelodeon.
She once appeared on an episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians when Kim took her daughter North, who is a huge JoJo fan, to her house to record a YouTube video with her.
JoJo also appeared in movie Blurt! and provided some of the voices on The Angry Birds Movie 2.
The young star has released a string of gold and platinum singles as well as a number of books.
