YouTuber Grace Victory ready to leave hospital after Covid left her in coma

Grace Victory has been told she is finally ready to leave hospital after coronavirus left her in a coma.

The YouTuber, 30, has been told by doctors that she's "medically fit for discharge" and will be having a stint in rehab before going home.

She was placed in an induced coma on Christmas Day last year, after giving birth to a baby boy the day before.

But Grace is making good progress, and she's revealed her joy that her "hellish journey" is coming to an end when she took to Twitter to share her happy news.

"Medically fit for discharge," she tweeted alongside crying and clapping emojis.

"I'm moving to a rehab centre and then I'm going home.

"The end of this hellish journey is near."

She went on: "Bonded over tears, chocolate and frustration with so many nurses that I will miss a lot.

"But so happy I'm healthy and will soon be strong enough to walk, dance and finally live my life."

Grace continued: "I can't even put into words how much I've struggled, how many tears I've cried and how much I've wanted to give up.

"This is the hardest journey I've ever had to do but I have no other choice.

"One day I'd just like to know the 'why'.

Grace also shared a photo of her baby boy looking adorable in a grey hoodie.

She had delivered her son two months before his due date because she had become "too unwell to continue with the pregnancy."

The new mum said: "He has two nicknames. Cheeks. And Lips. I really gave birth to the cutest bambino."
