YouTuber Grace Victory is discharged from ICU after waking up from a three month Covid coma

Popular British YouTuber Grace Victory has been discharged from intensive care after waking up from three-month coma.

Ms Victory, 30, from High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire caught Covid-19 in December and was put into a coma on Christmas Day.

The move came a day after she gave birth to her first child, a baby boy, who was induced two months early.

Ms Victory woke up from the coma on March 8 and has made a remarkable recovery.

On Friday the blogger tweeted: “The medical staff gave me a 5% chance of surviving Covid but because I’m me, I’ve been discharged from the ICU,” she wrote.

“I will never ever give up.”

She added: “The entire time my family and Lee kept saying ‘you don’t know what she’s capable of’ and the whole world sent me love. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.”

Ms Victory’s sister, Char, also thanked those who supported the family.

“We witnessed a miracle in  @GraceFVictory and it’ll change me forever,” Char tweeted.

“Thank you to the @NHSuk staff who saved my sisters life, more than once. And thank you to every single person who has and continues to pray for her.”

Many took to Twitter to share their well-wishes to Ms Victory.

One user tweeted: “You’re incredible. Thinking of you every day and all the amazing things you have yet to achieve!!”

Another wrote: “The best news! I’ve never met you, but after all these years of following your story, I couldn’t imagine a world without Grace Victory. The world needs you Grace! So so happy for you and your family.”

After waking up from her coma earlier this month, Ms Victory tweeted: "I’m awake. Baby boy is at home thriving with his daddy."

She later shared a black-and-white photo of the feet of her newborn son.

"The best feet in the world 😍😍😍😍," she wrote.

Ms Victory, also known as “The Internet’s Big Sister”, joined YouTube 10 years ago and has gained more than 221,000 subscribers with her videos about body image and pregnancy.
