YouTuber banned from theme parks sneaks into M&D's to climb rollercoaster

A YouTuber has released footage of him climbing to the top of a roller coaster at M&D's, despite being banned from theme parks after he was taken to court for climbing the Stealth rollercoaster at Thorpe Park in 2017.

Ally Law, who also broke into the Big Brother house during a live eviction, has also been banned from television studies and was later fined for, what police said, was a "reckless" act.

The 24-year-old parkour specialist posted the video to his 3.34 million subscribers last week (July 22) showing him and his friend, Adam, sneaking into the Motherwell theme park by climbing the walls.

The pair admitted they didn’t expect anyone to be working as Google said it was closed though as they drove into the venue, they spotted security.

After climbing a wall the pair first try out the Moby’s Revenge attraction on foot, seemingly oblivious that it requires riders to be seated in a dinghy for the descent, and despite no water running through it at the time.

They then scale the heights of the adjacent Looping Star rollercoaster complaining that it is “slippy”, before admiring the views from its highest point across the loch towards Hamilton and South Lanarkshire.

The footage, which has gained almost 400,000 views, is said to have been filmed a while ago, reports the Daily Record, as the roller coaster the pair climbed is no longer at the park.

Ally can be heard saying: “Who’s that? Oh, no. Sit down here" as they spot someone in the park who is later is revealed to be the owner's grandson who recognised him from YouTube.

Ally asks: "Alright mate. Can we bounce?" but is then told the park is closed and replies, “No worries man. Thanks bro.”

The pair then climb over the wall again and leave. However shortly after they are confronted by someone who tells the pair that they have the "registration number of your van, we know what you look like and the police know you’re here”.

He adds: “We’d really appreciate if you don’t come into the park. If I see you in there it won’t be a pleasant conversation.”

Ally said he thought they were going to "get beat up...they think they’ve stopped us but little do they know we’ve just done it.”

A spokesperson for M&D's said: “We are liaising with Police Scotland and our legal team over this irresponsible and reckless break in at the Theme Park. It happened during lockdown when the Theme Park was closed and limited site security was allowed.

"The rollercoaster was already decommissioned and was subsequently dismantled.

“As covid regulations changed site security was automatically stepped up. It’s baffling to understand why anyone would put their life at risk in this way.”
