YouTube star’s 75-yard field goal sent Bears fans into a frenzy

The Chicago Bears saw their Super Bowl hopes end in the Wild Card round after Cody Parkey’s 43-yard attempt (which was actually blocked) hit the upright against the Eagles.

In the weeks since, the Bears faithful have struggled to forgive the embattled kicker. It’s at the point where they’re willing to look anywhere for a replacement — even on YouTube.

On Tuesday, YouTube star and former UCF kicker Donald De La Haye posted a video of his 75-yard field goal. Sure, the kick was likely wind-aided on a glorious looking day in Florida, but 75 yards are 75 yards (if you believe that distance). The kick was impressive enough to have Bears fans rooting for a De La Haye signing.

Parkey will never hear the end of this one.

De La Haye was the same UCF kicker who was forced to choose between college football and his popular YouTube channel. He chose YouTube, but he clearly hasn’t lost his kicking skills either.
