YouTube star punches female referee while being stopped in boxing debut

YouTube star Chris Ray Gun accidentally punched the referee while she attempted to stop his boxing debut against William Haynes.

The influencer - real name Christopher Raymond Maldonado - made his boxing debut on the latest instalment of charity boxing tournament Creator Clash in the US last night. He was initially set to fight YouTube rival Froggy Fresh but after the fight broke down, he instead touched gloves with late replacement Haynes.

Chris Ray Gun came out second best on the night with Haynes managing to push the face throughout particularly given his extremely significant size advantage. But it was the nature of the second round stoppage which stunned fans, given the referee was forced to intervene and prevent the conquered star from sustaining more damage.

Haynes landed a battering series of powerful shots with Chris Ray Gun struggling to muster anything in response, which saw the female referee on the night taking a closer look. Eventually she decided to step in the way of the pair and end Chris Ray Gun's punishment which perhaps came as a surprise.

The YouTube star continued to try and trade with his opponent despite the referee having stepped in between them and landed a punch on the back of the official's head. Luckily there was no significant damage or injury to the female official who desperately tried to wrestle the two apart and ensure no further shots were landed.

She caught a shot on the head but shoved the aggressor out of the way of Chris Ray Gun and the fight ended in defeat for the debutant. It will be back to the drawing board for the influencer who may have been wishing he was better matched alongside his previously planned opponent Froggy Fresh.

It was a packed night of action on the night with the charity bill topped by YouTube star Alex Wassabi's split decision win over tournament host iDubbbz. It was the organiser of the event's second defeat in both tournaments, having lost first to Dr Mike in his first ever boxing show.

Also on the card 42-year-old social media star 'Dad' picked up his second win in the latest instalment of the show stopping AB Starkilla in the opening round. After stunning fans with a bizarre run-and-dive entrance into the ring, it was another statement performance and he is now eyeing a future in the WWE.
