YouTube star Logan Paul grapples with UFC champion Israel Adesanya

Logan Paul has been spotted showing off his grappling abilities with UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya in new training footage from his Puerto Rican camp.

Paul is one of the most famous influencers in the world, and has already transitioned into fighting with a series of boxing fights over the past five years. Despite not winning one of those bouts, he has managed to draw massive attention and respect within the world of combat sports for his performances.

He has frequently teased a move into MMA, holding meetings with Bellator president Scott Coker and attempting to get a deal for a UFC fight during a podcast appearance with Dana White. Both Logan and his brother Jake Paul have solid bases from their high school days in the famed wrestling state of Ohio, with the elder sibling even competing briefly in college.

And new footage has now emerged of the social media star mixing it with Adesanya on the mats, along with Volkanovski and renowned Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt Craig Jones. The respected trio were in Dorado and took in a session with Paul, a brief part of which was shared on Instagram.

"Good session in the books," Volkanovski wrote in one post alongside a picture of the four men after training. Paul responded by jokingly adding "'good session'? Yeah right, they murdered me!" He shared his own pictures and footage after the fact, captioning a picture of he and Adesanya "they tired me out".

Paul is one of the UFC's biggest sponsors with his energy drink Prime, which is co-owned by fellow YouTube boxer KSI. And he has frequently pushed for at least one bout in the octagon, previously asking president of the promotion White if the possibility of a fight is something he would entertain.

While appearing on Impaulsive , the topic was broached with White, who first asked Paul “Who would you want to fight?" He then conceded that the YouTuber "has wrestling and boxing," and asking "Do you ever do jiu-jitsu?" When Paul replied in the affirmative, White admitted "I’m not saying no.”

He was a high level wrestler during his high school days, but couldn't forge much of a college career due to dropping out early in an effort to pursue an entertainment career in Hollywood. After amassing a huge following with his brother, the pair made their boxing debuts in 2018, and have left the door open for an octagon bout in the future.

Jake has become a successful boxer, almost entirely switching from YouTuber to fighter, while his brother is an all-around entertainer. He has most recently become a big star in professional wrestling as part of the WWE, which has proven more fruitful than his boxing run where he drew with and lost to KSI before going the distance in an unscored exhibition with Floyd Mayweather.
