YouTube is down: Video streaming site crashes for users across the UK

It’s the go-to video streaming service for many people, but it seems that YouTube has crashed for users across the UK this morning.

According to Down Detector the issues started at around 10:55 GMT and are affecting users in the UK, parts of Europe and Japan.

While YouTube is yet to comment on the outage, of those who reported issues, 48% said they couldn’t watch video, 47% had problems with the website, and 3% couldn’t log-in.

Mirror Online has contacted YouTube for comment.

Many concerned users have taken to Twitter to vent their frustrations at the outage.

One user tweeted: "YouTube can’t be down right now. I need to go back to bed. I need my ASMR lol."

Another wrote: "Drat. YouTube goes down as I'm about to upload two videos of course!! Lmao"

And one joked: "So who’s gonna wake susan up and tell her that YouTube’s down?," in reference to YouTube's CEO, Susan Wojcicki.
