Youtube icon Rebecca Black 'unrecognisable' as she performs in Glasgow

A historic YouTube icon will be visiting Glasgow on Wednesday to perform at The Garage on Sauchiehall Street as part of her UK and Europe tour.

And the once-ridiculed Rebecca Black has certainly had a glow-up from her early YouTube days, as she poses on Instagram ahead of the gig.

Rebecca shot to fame in 2011 with smash hit 'Friday', a cheesy bop that has been parodied to death after it was released.

With a whopping 160,487,484 views to date, and 1.4 MILLION likes on the music video, Rebecca was an early pioneer for YouTube content.

Since then, Rebecca has been steadily growing a platform both on YouTube and other social medias, and has been releasing music since.

With lyrics in 'Friday' consisting of masterpieces like "Seven a.m., waking up in the morning. Gotta be fresh, gotta go downstairs", and "Gotta have my bowl, gotta have cereal. Seein' everything, the time is goin'" - she has been a talent from a young age.

Posing for a photo for social media in a black corset bodice and flashy trousers, Rebecca has taken her look to the next level.

Another said: "The way you literally slayed us all- we can only say thank you."

And a third wrote: "Life is temporary but drip is forever."

Rebecca will perform at The Garage in Glasgow on Wednesday, May 11, as part of her sold-out 'Rebecca Black Was Here' tour.
