YouTube Allstars beat Sidemen FC on penalties in Sidemen Charity Match 2026

YouTube Allstars beat Sidemen FC on penalties in the 2026 Sidemen Charity Match at the iconic Wembley Stadium on April 18. The annual creator football event returned to London with charity support going to Bright Side and M7 Education, and donations for the 2026 campaign remain open through April 20 on the official Givestar page.

This year’s edition supported two charities. Bright Side is a grant-making charity established in 2023 that funds projects that work on safe housing, education, and access to opportunities.

M7 Education works with schools facing high levels of disadvantage and funds trips, workshops, and other activities designed to raise aspiration and attainment. For the 2026 match, profits from the event and related activities are split 86 percent to Bright Side and 14 percent to M7 Education.

The match remained free to watch through the Sidemen YouTube channel, continuing last year’s format. Once more, Sidemen were facing YouTube Allstars, but unlike last year’s match, some of the Sidemen co-founders, like KSI, Miniminter, and Behzinga, opted to play for the YouTube Allstars team instead, with Miniminter being undoubtedly one of the best players on the pitch along with Jynxzi.

Sidemen were actually leading for most of the match, with YouTube Allstars always having to close the gap. AngryGinge13 opened the scoring for YouTubers, but TBJZL and Marlon Lundgren Garcia got sidemen in front with a quickfire double on minutes 13 and 16.

Miniminter tied the scoresheet after JasonTheWeen’s missed penalty, but ChrisMD and Jynxzi got Sidemen in front again. YouTubers didn’t give up and tied the score through the efforts of ItalianBach and Miniminter. The first half ended in 4:4.

The second 45 had even more goals in store. Danny Aarons and NYKchazza put YouTube Allstars in front for the first time since the very first goal, but the celebrations were cut short by AJ Shabeel and Zerkaa — 6:6.

Then the teams exchanged two goals in two minutes: WillNE scored for YouTubers, Vikkstar123 for Sidemen. AB then put Sidemen back in front again, but KSI tied the score minutes later.

When Niko and Jynxzi put Sidemen two up with only ten minutes to go, it felt like it was over. However, Miniminter really didn’t want to lose, so too the mantle of the leader and scored with a phenomenal long-range effort that the keeper xQc was unable to deal with.

With only three minutes to go, ItalianBach scored another screamer, with xQc being fooled by the pro-level outside-the-foot bender from 23 meters.

The match ended 10:10, and just like last year, it went directly into the penalty shootout, as the former Premier League referee Mark Clattenburg decided against adding any injury time.

Calfreezy, YouTube Allstars coach, was the first to step up to the spot and made true of the old football adage that the best way to score a penalty is to blast it to the middle. xQc was unable to cope with the sheer power of the shot.

Jack Joseph, the Sidemen coach, was ready to answer, but his very technical shot was very slightly mis-hit and rattled the crossbar.

Ibai Llanos proved to everyone that Spain does have incredibly football tradition by putting his spotkick directly into the bottom right corner with zero chance for xQc to save it.

Unfortunately for Sidemen, Lazarbeam probably mistook the game for Aussie Rules and put the ball over the bar with his next penalty.

Max Fosh didn’t let them get away with such a mistake and put YouTube Allstars 3 up with his kick.

ChrisMD’s penalty left some hope as he expertly sent Sketch the other way with a Bruno Fernandes-esque penalty kick.

The last person to take the penalty was Mrwhosetheboss, a British tech YouTuber who didn’t have the best match. But with all the pressure on his back, he slotted the ball home with a low driven shot to xQc’s right-hand corner and won the game for YouTube Allstars. There will likely be a phenomenally shot and produced video about this ordeal on his YouTube channel shortly.

The donations for this year’s Sidemen Charity Match are still ongoing, so we don’t have the final number yet, but the currently raised £6,218,875 already broke all the records. Last year, the match raised more than £4.7 million, with all profits and 100% of donations going to charity.
