Youths warned and alcohol seized after gathering in Long Eaton

More than a dozen cans of Carling were seized from youths gathered in Long Eaton.

A spokesman for Derbyshire police said the incident in Shakespeare Street happened at about 1.50pm on January 29.

PCSOs attended after reports that a defibrillator was being damaged.

A statement on the Long Eaton and Sandiacre Police Safer Neighbourhood Policing Team's Facebook page, accompanied with a picture of cans of lager, read: "PCSOs soon caught up with them and seized the alcohol.

"Parents were also informed."

The Derbyshire Constabulary spokesman confirmed no damage was found to the defibrillator.

He said warnings were given for behaviour and coronavirus-related issues, and confirmed alcohol was also seized.

There were no arrests in connection with the incident, police said.
