Youths throw rocks at moving car in Glasgow's leafy suburbs as cops launch probe

Police have launched a probe after a group of youths threw rocks at a moving car in Glasgow's leafy suburbs.

The gang pelted missiles at the vehicle on the plush Boclair Road in Bearsden yesterday afternoon at around 4.45pm.

The incident left the driver and passenger badly shaken while damage was also made to the car.

The local woman said a group of around 7-8 boys 'threw rocks' at her car as she drove down the road.

She said: "I was in motion and if they hit my window my sister and I could have ended up in a worse place than just a bashed car.

"We will be handing the videos, pictures, and descriptions of the boys to the police for them to take further."

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "We were made aware of material thrown at a car on Boclair Road in Glasgow shortly after 4.45pm on Thursday, 11 February.

"Enquiries are ongoing."
