Your views wanted on plan to replace King Street car park with hotel, flats and pub development

Plans to transform the King Street NCP car park into a development with a hotel, flats and a pub are open for public consultation.

The plans, submitted on behalf of Vengada Estates Limited, detail the intention to turn the NCP King Street Car Park near to the St Enoch Centre into a massive mixed-use development, comprising flats, offices, a hotel and hostel, shops, a restaurant and pub.

The physical characteristics of the design for the site, which is bounded by Howard Street, Osborne Street and Bridgegate, are still to be developed.

Within the proposal it is stated that the plans "are expected to include tall buildings" which have the potential to "replicate the high density and tall buildings of neighbouring regeneration sites such as 'Candleriggs Quarter', 'Buchanan Wharf', Get Living's proposal at High Street and 'Love Loan' on George Street."

To view the application in full, which is currently under consideration by city planners, visit the Glasgow City Council website.
