Lena Dunham isn't just "the voice of her generation", she's the voice of any generation. Her musings on death were equal parts hilarious, humane and moving.
Leighton Carter

Dunham = emperor's new clothes. Get over your obsession with her.
Annika Bluhm
Bath

Looking through James Mollisons's photographs, I was struck by how similar each image was. Children are children are children the world over: the same games, groupings and kinds of relationships. Compelling, fascinating and refreshing.
Lisa McGerty
Hundon, Suffolk

I would like to think there is a quick-fix exercise to increase willpower and self-control, but the reality of human brain functioning is a lot more complicated. I find that keeping a long-term goal in mind, and working towards it in a small way every day, can help realise your ambitions. The Marshmallow Test seems a little silly, to be honest.
Martin Glover
Nîmes, France

I enjoyed Sophie Heawood's account of the plight of the "endie", and recognised the symptom of no disposable income. With so many readers now on a shoestring, how about fashion pages with more realistic prices? Of course I'd like a £245 sweatshirt from Christopher Kane, but my money's disappeared on rent.
Hannah George
Pontcanna, Cardiff

Was the trade union officer paid by the Daily Mail? Yes, a small minority of members try it on, but a bogus allegation will soon become obvious if the officer is any good. We need unions more than ever in these days of race-to-the-bottom wages, zero-hours contracts and employer intimidation and tax evasion.
Max Fishel
Bromley

Like those who can't run more than 10m yet watch athletics, I'm addicted to restaurant reviews, but Marina O'Loughlin's are getting a bit much: "It comes with blobs of glossy beet emulsion and mandolined chioggia, a decorative vegetable that, like romanesco, makes me think a higher being might exist". Any chance of a glossary?
Helena Newton
Ilford

Teresa Cooper points out that Serena Williams could beat only 99.99999174% of men on the planet. Bet Williams is disappointed by that.
Maggie McTernan
Glasgow

Maria Bassey shows that it is possible to improve our surroundings if we work together. What an inspiration.
Margaret Thompson
Oxton, Wirral
