A 120-year-old former Methodist Church in Heaton, Newcastle, is now up for sale for £850,000.
The last service there was a virtual service conducted online by Deacon Gail Morgan in January this year.
It was built in 1901 on a substantial 0.35 acre corner plot on Simonside Terrace. It was a purpose built Methodist church of stone construction beneath a number of pitched and hipped slate roofs.
There are number of attractive and decorative details throughout the external church structure including several stained glass windows.
The main chapel is to the front of the building principally accessed off Heaton Road, whilst to the rear the community space is accessed from Simonside Terrace.

The church comprises an impressive hall with surrounding banked balcony overlooking the central void that leads to the main altar and organ.
Either side of the main hall there are small glazed prayer rooms. On both the ground and first floor there are internal doors either side of the altar leading to the communal accommodation at the rear.
The community space provides two large halls, several meeting rooms, two kitchens, ancillary stores and vestry.
Externally the church has a large grass lawn that wraps around the South West corner of the property.
To the rear there is a terraced lane that proves a disabled ramp to the community space via Simonside Terrace.
The property, seen on Rightmove, is being marketed by Lambert Smith Hampton, Newcastle, with offers to be received by noon on May 24.
