We’re now running a regular weekly photography assignment in the Observer New Review and the next theme is ‘restore’.
So whether you’re working on a repair project or took part in a protest in a call for democracy, share your photos of what restore means to you – and tell us about your image in the description box.
The closing date is 19 February at 10 am. We’ll publish our favourites in The New Review on 22 February and in a gallery on the Guardian site.
You can share your ‘restore’ pictures by clicking on the blue ‘Contribute’ button on this article. You can also use the GuardianWitness smartphone app or the Guardian app and search for ‘GuardianWitness assignments’ – and if you add it to the homepage – you can keep up with all our assignments.
Here are some of the contributions so far:
Sculpture at Restore's Elder Stubbs Festival
Restore is an Oxford based mental health charity specialising in recovery and employment services
Restoration desperately needed on this Lion in Nonsuch Park!
Walking in the grounds of nonsuch park today we came across this old statue amidst a brick wall of graffiti. I can imagine the grandeur of the gardens in it's day. Badly needing a restoration project. Anyone??
