Your Must-Watch Guide: Premieres on Netflix, Hulu, HBO, Univision, and More in the Third Week of April

MIAMI - Mexican actresses Eiza González, Melissa Barrera and Cassandra Sánchez'Navarro steal the show with incredible portrayals in the new films and series coming out the third week of April.

González plays Marjorie Stewart, a woman who changed WW2 in Guy Richie's 'The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare,' sharing the screen with Mr. Superman himself, Henry Cavil.

Coming out of her firing from the 'Scream' franchise after pro-Palestine comments, Barrera portrays a Latina former soldier who faces a 12-year-old vampire ballerina in 'Abigail.' Both are setting to duel in the box office this weekend.

Sánchez-Navarro, on her end, has the most interesting character among all the new films and series debuting on streaming platforms this week. She portrays a Mexican housewife from the 50's who starts a business selling sexual toys in Vix's 'Consuelo'.

Jack Snyder's Netflix movie 'Rebel Moon' on Netflix, and the second weekend in Coachella on YouTube are also among the treasure trove of things to watch on streaming, TV, theaters and YouTube.

Best new movies and series to watch this week

The premieres this week start on April 17 in Hulu with 'Under the Bridge' (Miniseries) - This captivating miniseries explores the complex dynamics and hidden secrets among a group of seemingly perfect lives. Maya da Costa and Isabella León are the Latinas in a cast led by Oscar nominee Lily Gladstone and Riley Keough.

That same day will see the release of the sixth season of 'The Circle'. This Netflix's hit reality competition returns with contestants communicating via a social media app, vying to earn the influencer title and a hefty cash prize.

Netflix will also premiere 'The Grimm Variations.' This intriguing animated series brings to life a darker and twisted version of the beloved Grimm fairy tales.

On April 18, fans of comedy can watch the first season of 'Conan O'Brien Must Go' on Max. This A fictionalized, humorous take on Conan's career, this series promises laughs and unexpected twists.

The sitcom 'The Upshaws' about a working-class African American family navigating life's challenges with humor and love returns to Netflix the same day.

The third season of 'Welcome to Wrexham' premieres on FX in April 18. Follow the journey of Wrexham AFC after being taken over by two Hollywood celebrities, focusing on the highs and lows of the soccer club.

Prime Video releases the original series 'Going Home with Tyler Cameron', which reality TV star Tyler Cameron as he visits the homes of various celebrities, uncovering stories behind their success.

The first season of 'The Spiderwick Chronicles' premieres on Roku, on April 19. This is a series adapted from the beloved children's books, and delves into the mystical world that twins discover in their new home. Latina actress Mellany Barros is part of the cast led by veteran actor Christian Slater.

Cassandra Sánchez-Navarro, Catherine Siachoque, and Lincoln Palomeque star in 'Consuelo'. The series, premiering on April 19 on Vix, is a hilarious and heartwarming series about a high-society woman in the 50s rediscovering herself and taking control of her life (by selling sex toys) after being left by her husband.

The epic continuation of Zack Snyder's space saga 'Rebel Moon-Part Two: The Scargiver'premieres on April 19 as well, with galactic freedom fighters rallying against oppressive rulers. Alfonso Herrera reprises his role as the evil Cassius.

Opening at the movie theaters

Eiza González stars in 'The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare', in movie theaters this April 19. Set during WWII, this action-packed film follows Britain's first covert operatives.

Melissa Barrera teams up again with her 'Scream' directors in the horror film 'Abigail. The Mexican actress is a former medic in the Army dealing with a child ballerina vampire in a kidnapping gone very wrong.

The film 'Hard Miles', also premiering in theaters on April 19, follows the gripping journey of a rookie truck driver navigating through dangerous routes and personal dilemmas. Latino actor Damien Díaz is part of the cast led by Matthew Modine.
