Next week, Apple will finally unveil its 2019 iPhones , following months of anticipation.
The tech giant is expected to unveil three new smartphones , rumoured to be called iPhone 11 , iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max.
While this is certainly exciting, if you currently have an iPhone, your smartphone could lose a huge amount of value after the launch.
musicMagpie has revealed that your iPhone could lose up to £220 in trade-in value on Tuesday, depending on the model you have.
The biggest losses will be for anyone with the latest iPhones, including the iPhone XS Max (512GB), which cost £1,449 when it launched last year.
Worryingly, the iPhone is only worth £730 now at trade-in, and after Tuesday, will be worth just £511.
Meanwhile, an iPhone 8, which is currently worth £260, will lost £78 in value by Tuesday.

Jon Miller, MD of Electronics at musicMagpie, explained: “In the past, we’ve seen that devices with higher specs typically tend to hold their values well, however, in the recent set of releases, this hasn’t been the case.
“The reason for this is mainly a lack of innovation and consumers can’t distinguish between the upgraded features which leads to them choosing an older generation of the phone when thinking of ‘upgrading’ – because essentially, they can purchase an older version of the phone and it does the same thing, but for a lot cheaper.”
