On the MyWigan Facebook page, we recently asked you all to tell us your favourite things about Wigan and you didn't disappoint.
More than 100 of you got in touch to let us know exactly what it is you love so much about the town and the surrounding borough.
From nightlife to beautiful open spaces, there really was a lot of variety and we've gone through the comments and picked out some of the best.
Emma Anderson loves shopping and getting food in the town centre.
She wrote: "Galleries, Wilkinson, B&M, Boots, and the New Chippery - my favourite."
Georgina McDonald brought up one of the town's biggest institutions, commenting: "Uncle Joe's Mintballs".
A Facebook user called Bodhi Sattva can't wait for lockdown to be lifted so they can sample the town's nightlife once again.
They listed the borough's "live music scene and venues" as their favourite thing.
Diane Simm agreed but also showed some love for the great outdoors.
She wrote: "Loads of friendly pubs & music scene, lovely walks, countryside, cafes.
"We need to appreciate what we have on our doorstep."
Hannah Lynch concurred.
"The wild orchids that grow out the grid," she wrote.
"Seriously, there used to be one just down from The Brocket. The main population is elsewhere. Not sure if I should give an exact location as I'm keen to keep them safe. But they're here."
For Neil Higham, Wigan Warriors are not only the best thing in Wigan but on Earth.
He commented that his favourite thing about the borough is: "Open spaces and watching the best rugby in the world."
However not all the comments were completely positive, as the Wigan and Leigh rivalry reared its head.
David Boardman said that his favourite thing about Wigan is apparently "the road out to Leigh", a sentiment also echoed by Ian Colbert and Steven Chadwick.
