Your chance to rate the Leeds United players for the 2021-22 season

Finally the season is over and survival has been achieved, though not without some casualties along the way – not least the departure of former manager Marcelo Bielsa.

Now is the time to assess who was up to snuff and who needs to pull their socks up. Did anyone merit a perfect 10 for a season in which Leeds United finished 17th?

An obvious standout was the club’s top scorer for the season: Raphinha. This was the season when he made his debut for Brazil and started attracting the attention of some of the world's most successful clubs.

Perhaps slightly overlooked by those who do not watch Leeds week in week out is the club’s second-top scorer Jack Harrison. He topped things off with a cracker on the last day of the season.

Others whose contribution could be easily overlooked are Daniel James and Mateusz Klich. They both battled on through the difficult circumstances of the injury crisis.

The big stars hit by long injuries included Liam Cooper, Luke Ayling, Patrick Bamford and Kalvin Phillips. Survival depended on getting some of them back at least some of the time.

And finally, for such a young goalkeeper, 22-year-old Illan Meslier was very impressive. He played every single Premier League match this season.
