It’s one of the most popular curry houses in Bristol, the hidden gem on the south side of the river that is a bit of a locals’ secret.
But now, as well as booking a meal at the Coronation in Southville, you can buy the whole place yourself.
For the building that houses the Coronation Curry House is up for auction next month - so you could be the restaurant’s landlord.
The Coronation had been something of an under-the-radar gem of Bristol’s restaurant scene, with its reputation spreading by word of mouth over the years.
But last summer, it was named as the food establishment in Bristol with the highest rating on TripAdvisor, beating Michelin-star restaurants and more famous eateries across the city.

Now, the building - not the restaurant itself - is up for sale, and whoever bids the highest in the auction next month will have the restaurant business as its tenant.
The building is on the part of Coronation Road where Southville becomes Ashton Gate, and is opposite the Vauxhall Bridge over the New Cut to Spike Island.
It’s being sold by auction with a guide price of something over £225,000, but for that you get the Coronation Curry House with six years left of a long-standing ten-year lease, and a one-bed flat above.
It’s being sold by Auction House Bristol & West, and goes under the hammer on August 13.
A spokesperson for the auctioneers said it would make a good investment purchase for people looking for an ‘attractive yield’.
“It comprises an A3/A5 Indian restaurant and takeaway on the ground floor with a one-bedroom self-contained flat above this is an established mixed use investment property,” he said.
“It’s conveniently positioned opposite the Vauxhall footbridge the property offers easy access to Wapping Wharf, the Bristol city centre and North Street making this a desirable rental location,” he added.
