Calling all cat parents! Have you ever looked at your beloved little ball of fluff and thought "You could be a TV star"?
Well now is your chance to make that dream come true.
Asda is looking for a fabulous feline to star in its 2019 Christmas TV ad campaign - and the festive hero could come from your house, reports Wales Online.
The supermarket is looking for people to nominate their pets as this year's advert will see the introduction of one extra special titular character – ‘Mr Grumbles’ – a role which will see one lucky kitty catapulted to Christmas stardom.
The all-important role will be awarded to the cat whose personality prowess ranges from grumpy and sullen to jubilant and joyous with the snap of a finger (and maybe a treat), who will be taking part in what is set to be Asda’s most magical Christmas ad yet.
Eilidh Macaskill, Vice President of Creative and Media at Asda, said: “We want to make this Christmas the most extra special Christmas yet, so we’re pulling-out all stops to ensure we bring a little magic to screens, with the help of Mr Grumbles.”
Whether a short, ginger-furred kitten, or a raggedy ragdoll, the role of Mr Grumbles is open to cats of all shapes and sizes. The ad director will then select Mr Grumbles from hundreds of headshots, taken from a casting-call and those submitted by members of the public through social media, selecting the feline who brings to life the essence of Mr Grumbles.
