Youngest people on Sunday Times Rich list - from Little Mix to billionaire aged 26

From Little Mix to the youngest self-made billionaire in the UK, the wealthiest people aged 30 and under in the UK have been revealed in the latest Sunday Times Rich List.

Johnny Boufarhat, 26, who made his £1.446billion wealth through his online events platform Hopin, comes in third overall - but his wealth is trumped by the godfather of Prince George who once again topped the list.

The seventh Duke of Westminster, Hugh Grosvenor, aged 30, has an eye-watering wealth of £10.054billion after inheriting his title and a £8.3billion fortune following the death of his father, Gerald Cavendish Grosvenor, in 2016.

Hugh - or “Hughie” to his friends - also gained a staggering property portfolio, including the family seat, Eaton Hall near Chester and land in the wealthiest areas of London.

In total, owns 300 acres of Mayfair and Belgravia, as well as land in more than 60 cities around the world, according to The Sunday Times.

However, his fortune has shrunk compared to last year, down by £241million - but his wealth still puts him top of the young list once again, and number 12 on the main Sunday Times Rich List.

The Duke was one of four billionaires in the top 30, followed by socialite and Oxford graduate Lady Charlotte Wellesley, also aged 30, who is the daughter of the ninth Duke of Wellington and has a net worth of £2.4billion.

It’s also not surprising that some of the biggest popstars in the world have made the cut - including Little Mix and members of One Direction.

Little Mix - made up of Leigh-Anne Pinnock, Perrie Edwards and Jade Thirlwall - come in at number 14 with a combined wealth of £54million, up £6million compared to last year.

Harry Styles, meanwhile, is the wealthiest member of One Direction with a wealth of £75million at the age of 27, and ranking at number 10, followed by Niall Horan, also 27, at £52million, Louis Tomlinson, 29, at £45million and Liam Payne, 27, at £44million.

But trumping the One Direction boys is Ed Sheeran, 30, who comes in at number 7 with an impressive wealth of £220million.

Manchester United striker and football legend Marcus Rashford made the Young Rich List for the first time aged 23, coming in at number 50 with a net worth of £16million.

But more impressively, Rashford is now the youngest person ever to top the Sunday Times Giving List after he successfully lobbied the UK Government into a U-turn over its free school meals policy.

It’s estimated that his work as an ambassador for FareShare, triggered £20million of additional donations to the food poverty charity - amounting to an incredible 125% of his net worth.

The Sunday Times Young Rich List is separate to its Giving List and main Rich List.

Over on the main Sunday Times Rich List, Ukranian-born entertainment tycoon Sir Leonard Blavatnik was confirmed as the wealthiest person in the country with a net worth of £23billion.
