Young woman sexually assaulted on Lanark-bound train between Glasgow Central and Carluke

British Transport Police officers are on the hunt for a man who sexually assaulted a young woman on train between Glasgow and Carluke.

The incident happened at 8.51pm on Thursday, July 11 on the service to Lanark from Glasgow Central Station.

The suspected is reported to have touched the woman - in her 20s - inappropriately and made sexual comments to her. He was also aggressive with other passengers on the train.

He is described as white, bald, tall and of heavy build with tattoos on his hand. He was wearing a purple or pink hooded top, jeans, green trainers and carrying a white drawstring bag.

Any witnesses, or anyone who has information on the man described, is asked to contact BTP by texting 61016 or by calling 0800 40 50 40 and using reference 100 of 12/07/19.
