A young woman was rushed to hospital after 'falling ill' on a bus, closing the line for several hours.
Paramedics responded to the medical episode at just after 11am this morning (July 20).
The V1 bus route was closed between Holden Road and Astley Street, heading towards Manchester on the Leigh Guided Busway, due to the 'medical emergency', said Transport for Greater Manchester.
The diversions were in place for around an hour.
Now, the North West Ambulance Service has confirmed that a young woman has been taken to hospital.
"We have taken a young woman to hospital," a spokesperson said.
"We received a 999 call at 11.14am."
